Dylan Twirling in 2016

This video is from exactly three years ago: December 19th, 2016. Dylan was 2 (almost 3 as her birthday is in February) and was so excited about the pretty dress she received from Grandma.

We wanted to post this video to show you the real Dylan. She has lost so much to DIPG, physically. You can see how big and vibrant her personality is in this video.

Let us make it clear: DIPG has not stolen that personality! It is still there and believe us, she is just as sassy as ever! Unfortunately, it is no longer obvious to the outside world. This little firecracker is still inside. She is mentally as sharp as ever and doesn’t miss a beat. Expressing herself is more challenging now.

These old videos and photos bring us surges of joy and also overwhelming sadness. One would never think that now, at nearly 6, Dylan can’t walk or twirl anymore.
