Infertility is a beast. It is different for every person and we all have our own story.
Since I didn’t get married until 33, Brandon and I decided that we wanted to start a family right away. Unfortunately, once I was off my birth control pills, my endometriosis was no longer controlled.
After 6 months of trying and increased pain we went to see our first fertility specialists. Many more visits, procedures, surgeries, and treatments have followed in the past 6 years without success at this point. This next year brings our second round of IVF using Lindy’s donor eggs and we would like to share the process.
My goal is to open communication for people who are still in the trenches of infertility. It’s incredibly painful and lonely. My hope is that by sharing my raw emotions and thoughts this will become a platform of healing for others as well as myself.
I hope to learn from other stories as well as celebrate the success of people who have defeated the beast. I look forward to taking this journey and hope it helps some of you in some way.
